Leif's Jutsu Training

Leif appears in the training field with his father waiting for him. he bows respectfully at him, waiting for instruction at 4:00 a.m. He stifles a yawn and stands up straighter.

"Good Morning Leif. I hope you slept well for you wont be for the next couple of weeks. As I am sure you heard, it seems the chuunin exams will be starting a tad bit earlier then expected, in two weeks. So from now until then you and me shall be training day and night until you are well prepared for the exams and become a chuunin. Now unless you have any questions, lets begin."

The kage gets into stance, Leif copying him. Kage makes handsigns, rainfall suddenly downpouring in their area. Leif squinted his eyes to keep a visual on his father as the rain darkened the aleady shady area. As a few seconds passed, there was already a good sized pond near them, at least 7 foot deep. Kage nodded to Leif to reproduce the jutsu as he canceled his, the rain stopping.

Leif made the handsigns, "Ochiru Ame no Jutsu!" Leif had done it properly, and in return had managed a fair drizzle. Leif canceled it and tryed again, with more chakra, cauzing a short surge of rain to fall like sharp rain. He shrugged it off, cancelling, trying again, finally managing to reproduce a good rainfall that lasted until he cancelled it again.

The Kage nodded his approval, walking over to the large pond they had created. He nodded for Lief to follow him. Once Leif got there, the kage made handsigns, diving under water, not returning for over 4 minutes. Finally resurfacing, he nodded at Leif to try.

The reason Leif did not need to hear the names of these techniques was becasue he and his father had studied and memorised every single water technique possible when he was an academy student. He already knew every one of these techniques inside out. Leif nodded, making the handsigns, "Suichuu!", diving under water. Using better chakra control then last time, he managed to hold the jutsu in place for over 3 minutes. He surfaced beside his father, waiting for further instruction.

The kage thinks for a moment, then finally, using master chakra control, climbs his way up on top of the water's surface, standing, looking down at Leif. Leif couldn't help but smile. He had wanted to try this move for a long time, and all it was was good chakra control. He got serious, taking deep breathes to center himself. Centering his chakra to his hands and feet, he slowly concentrated on climbing himself out of the pond. As he concentrated, he was making progress. He was on his hands and feet before finally standing up on his feet, maintaining chakra control easily.

He jumped a few times, still landing on water as if it was solid. Without any invitation, he started walking a lap around the pond. Great chakra control meant more then merely standing. He had to maintain chakra while actively moving. The kage nodded in approval as he watched. Leif made one lap of walking and started jogging around the pond. Halfway around, he did not dare break concentration. After that he started running as fast as he could, imrpoving his chakra greatly as he maintained stability easier and easier.

He started doing gymnastics as he ran, frontflips, and backflips, kartwheels, running faster around the pond. After a half hour of this, he found he did not even have to think or concentrate anymore, it was second nature to be on top of water. He walked back over to his father, not even tired from all the ecitement he had.

His father broke into a laugh, smiling, "You have learned and accomplished much my son. Most Genin your age would still be trying to climb out of the water." Leif joined him in laughing for a moment, as Leif let his chakra and muscles relax a little. After they had finished their break, they got into stances on opposite sides of the pond.

The kage made handsigns, a small wave erupting from the surface of the pond, headed toward Leif. Leif instantly copied the handsigns, creating an exact replica of the wave, combatting them. The two waves crashed together, flowing back into the pond, the surface calming once again.

The kage made handsigns, raising his hand up in front of him, palm raised. The water below his hand started rippling, suddenly raising from the pond snake-like towards his hand. Engulfing around his hand, was forming a claw-gauntlet of water. Fully formed, the kage flexed his "claws".

Leif mimiced the handsigns. Moving his hand out like his father did, the water reacted in the same way. Rising from the pond, it enguled a claw-gauntlet around his hand as well. He flexed hi claws, moving his hand around, looking at it from every angle.

Cancelling the jutsu, the kage moved on. Leif did the same, waiting. Saying nothing still, the kage made a single handsign. Leif knew this jutsu well. One of the only D-Rank assassination techniques. It was slow, painful, and highly evadable, yet dangerous all the same.

As his father commenced the jutsu, he said one thing to him, "All Water Elementals can counter this move without even trying. Just remember suichuu allows your chakra to filter water from your lungs."

He waited for the moment to use that jutsu. As one stream of water slowly rose form the pond, snaking up Leif's body, around his leg and up his chest, it slowly made its way into his mouth, down his throat, slowly filling his lungs. Leif shuttered. it was an icy cold feeling, and he was already having difficulty breathing.

Leif made the handsigns quickly using suichuu. The pain and anxiety suddenly lifted from his mind as the stream continued to flow, yet filtered from his lungs to his chakra system.

The kage cancelled the jutsu allowing Leif to copy it. Leif made the handsigns, copying the jutsu. The kage cancelled them in the same way. After that, the kage made handsigns, liquid shooting up from the pond, wrapping around Leif's arms ands legs in a vice, restraining him from moving anything. he winced slightly, waiting.

The Kage cancelled it, allowing him to return the move. Leif made the same handsigns, water bursting form the pond, restraining the Kage's body and limbs from moving. The kage smiled at how fast his son was learning.

Leif cancelled the jutsu. "Your excelling much faster then I thought Possible, Leif." he paused for a moment, thinking, slowly continuing, "I could not be any more proud of you. We only have but one more D-Rank jutsu for you to learn, but I will also teach you one C-Rank. Lets continue."

The kage made handsigns, suddenly the water beneath them starting to boil and steam, the bubbles rising to the top. He cancelled it, letting Leif try. leif made the same handsigns, causing the water to boil, bubble, and steam, letting it go like that until his feet could feel the heat of the water. He cancelled it, letting the water return to a cooler temperature.

The kage takes a moment to look at him as Kitsune takes some centering breaths. "Kitsune, normally I would allow you to choose the C-Rank jutsu of your choice, but seeing how your chakra control is ahead of your level...I think it would be right to teach you the Mizu Bunshin no Jutsu, and you WILL learn all ten levels of clones today, right now. If you pass out, I will beat you until you wake up, is that understood."

Kitsune takes a deep breath and nods. The kage makes the handsign, extending his index and middle fingers on both hands, crossing the left hand behind the right one, pointing east while the right hands points north. A cloud of water erupts, creating a clone of the kage. The "kage" walks forward towards Kitsune. It moves approximately 20feet from the kage before it seems to stop moving.

The kage releases the handsign, the water erupting back into the lake. Kitsune makes the handsign, putting much chakra into it. Eruption occurs, creating an exact clone of Kitsune. It walks a distance of 15ft before cancelling back to water. Kitsune makes the handsign again, exerting more chakra, creating two clones at once. They are perfect and are able to move.

The kage holds up a hand for him to stop, while Kitsune x3 is standing there. "Kitsune, I am about to give you some knowledge I know you are not aware of. This kind of training is meant for high ranking ninja, but..for some reason, your chakra is endless, relentless to say the least. I...Lief there is something you must know. When you were born, your parents did not abandon you. Your father..he died 7 months before you were born in the Leaf & Sound wars. Your mother gave her life for her village..and for you. When you were born, the village was being attacked by the nine-tailed fox. Your mother sealed the demon inside of you to protect you. I raised you as my own and damnit nothing in this world will change the fact that I love you as if you were my own. Now you must understand that you must use this gift for the greater good. You must never use this to harm an innocent life or for your own selfish desires. The knowledge I will share with you is this: When using a clone, especially when dealing with high-ranking, solid, full body clones, you must realize what that truly means. They are literally taken as another you. Meaning, your chakra is divided up among the number of clones you have created, and you. When your clones have gained new knowledge or have increased their training abilities, when you cancel them, all of that very knowledge is given right back to you, times how many clones were present to learn. Kitsune do you understand what this means?"

Kitsune paused. He was shocked at all of this news so sudden. He started taking deep breathes slowly to help. After a few minutes, he relaxed, finally understanding what he was. He sighed gently, looking up to the Kage, nodding that he understood. The kage nodded back.

"Now come on Kitsune, lets learn this new jutsu to its extent."
Kitsune nodded again. Gritting his teeth, he and his clones made the handsign. In a very large explosion of water molecules, there, standing before the kage, was Kitsune, and ten other clans standing beside him.

The kage bowed his head slightly, holding up his hand telling him to come at him. He didnt hesitate. The ten clones rushed out fast in the direction of the kage, still on top of the large pond, getting ready to strike him. They only physically fought, no jutsus or weapons. five of them struck at his legs, the four of them jumped on top of him, the last one doing two front flips, sledge hammoring the kages head down. All the clones poofed as the kages body flew under water into the pond. Kitsune stood there, waiting. The body under the water poofed into a cloud of mist and bubbles.

The kage stepped out form a tree behind the whole battle scene, where he had been the whole time. He chuckled, clapping as he walked up to him. Kitsune smiled, turning around, and walked toward him into a hug. "Wonderful my son. Truly magnificent. I couldnt have done it better myself." Kitsune smiled, and looked up at his dad. The kage smiled back. It was now 6 p.m. They had trained all day long, and Kitsune didn't feel any strain from it. He shrugged the thought away, walking with his dad back to the village.
