A
very simple technique with an over-dramatic name, One Thousand Years of
Death is little more than inserting one's index and middle fingers
(similar to the Tiger hand seal) into the opponent's rectum, causing
constipation and/or embarrassment. Characters that see the jutsu react
oddly (Temari blushes and Gamakichi shows a look of disappointment),
while those who have used or experienced the jutsu show great fear in
it being used on them.

While seemingly useless, the technique
can be useful if used correctly. During the first bell test, Kakashi
was able to throw Naruto a great distance, probably propelling him with
chakra. Naruto would later find out that the point behind the technique
was to target the opponents blind spot, and when one substitutes their
fingers for a kunai with an explosive tag, it can be a lethal
technique. The aforementioned variant has only been used by Naruto.

This
jutsu is simply a flying jump kick at the side of the enemy's face
while shouting "dynamic entry". Guy's version also sometimes involves
throwing a kunai to distract the opponent's attention and then
attacking them from their blind spot. This technique can also be used
to break into buildings.

Leaf Gale

The user performs a low, circular kick to sweep the opponent off their feet.

Leaf Whirlwind

This
jutsu is a set-up attack for a stronger jutsu. It consists of a simple,
but very fast, duck followed by a powerful upward kick, which sends the
opponent flying.

Piercing Fang

The
user spins at a ferocious speed and delivers many powerful beast-like
attacks when contact is made with the target. This attack is done alone
but it can be done with a partner, making it more effective.

Double Piercing Fang

The
user and his partner spin at a ferocious speed and deliver many
powerful beast-like attacks when contact is made with the target. The
force of this attack is strong enough to drill through stone. This
attack can be done alone, although it is less effective.


Leaf Great Whirlwind

This
technique involves a powerful leap forward followed by a spinning kick
with both legs in succession, the second kick being aimed lower in case
the intended target ducks the first.

This
jutsu is a variant of Rock Lee's Front Lotus, which Sasuke develops
after using his Sharingan to copy the first part of the move. Because
Lee wasn't given the chance to finish the attack, Sasuke makes his own
ending to it. Like Lee, Sasuke gets to the point where he does Shadow
of the Dancing Leaf to get behind an airborne opponent. He then
delivers a series a of blows that differ between uses. All variations
end with the opponent being thrown to the ground and struck in the
chest. Leaf Rising Wind

This
jump uses the entire body as a spring by amassing power in the legs
before kicking upwards. Because the power of the kick from the ground
is instantly converted into a blow, the enemy hit with this attack will
be launched high into the sky.


Shadow of the Dancing Leaf

The
Shadow of the Dancing Leaf is a Taijutsu technique that is used to
position a ninja's opponent into a vulnerable aerial position. The
ninja will first quickly appear below their opponent, then with a
switch upper kick they will launch their target into the air. The ninja
will then jump into the air to "shadow" the target with the target's
back to their chest. Since this is the opponents blind spot, the user
can have various ways of executing the dance with a variety of combos
in almost any fashion. Rock Lee uses the Shadow of the Dancing Leaf to
place his opponent into a position to do his Front Lotus technique.
Sasuke would go on to copy this move to set up his opponent for his
Lion Combo. Sasuke could however use the Shadow of the Dancing Leaf
after he copied it with his Sharingan, but because he hadn't had the
same training as Lee, he couldn't avoid the body strain the technique
carries.

This
jutsu is basically the same as the Human Bullet Tank, but Choji wraps
himself in kunai tied to strings to make it more damaging. The kunai
also make him move faster since Choji has more traction than in his
normal ball form. A variation of this jutsu is to use one's hair to
wrap around the user's body if it is long enough as shown during the
battle against Kakuzu and Hidan.

B-rank

This
technique is used in combination with the red Akimichi food pill (also
known as the chilli pill), which burns away all of a ninja's excess fat
and converts it into chakra. Because the members of the Akimichi clan
tend to be overweight to support their jutsu, this pill can give them
100 times their normal chakra level. However, anyone who eats it will
die unless given medical attention as described in the Nara clan's
medicine book soon after. To perform the jutsu, the clan member simply
channels all their chakra into one hand and punches the enemy,
releasing the chakra on contact. The subsequent impact not only
produces a sizable crater, but is almost guaranteed to kill the one on
the receiving end.

Double Wolf Fang

* Name: Double Wolf Fang (牙狼牙, Garōga; English TV "Wolf Fang Over Fang"; English Games "Wolf Fang")

* Users: Kiba Inuzuka with Akamaru

After
Akamaru uses Dynamic Marking to mark a target, both he and Kiba use Man
Beast Combination Transformation: Double-Headed Wolf to become a large,
two-headed wolf. The two then perform a much more powerful Double
Piercing Fang attack. Like the lesser version, they spin rapidly to
attack their target. Unlike the previous version, however, they move so
rapidly that they can't see where they're going, hence the reason for
the earlier Dynamic Marking, which allows them to track their opponents
via the distinctive scent.

This attack is powerful enough to cut
a person in two, and even dent a Rashomon gate. Even if the attack
misses, its speed is so great that the surrounding air can slice like a
blade. Such power is not without its drawbacks, however. Not only does
this attack effectively blind both Kiba and Akamaru for its duration,
but it tires them such that they can only perform it twice during Part
I before requiring rest.

Front Lotus

Front
Lotus requires the opening of the first of the Eight Chakra Gates,
giving the user five times their normal strength. The user launches the
opponent into the air and then uses Shadow of the Dancing Leaf. Now
behind his opponent, the user restrains them and pildrives them into
the ground headfirst. Because it uses one of the chakra gates, the user
is left extremely fatigued, making this jutsu a "double-edged sword."
Kakashi has been shown to be able to use this technique, but to a much
lesser degree than Guy and Lee.

Leaf Strong Whirlwind

Mega Palm Thrust

After
using the Multi-Size Technique to increase his size, Choji funnel
chakra into his hands and thrusts his palms to the ground, causing
extensive crushing damage to anything that may be caught beneath them.

Clone Body Blow

Naruto
creates numerous Shadow Clones to attack his enemy, which ends with
Naruto diving at the target using a burst of chakra. This technique was
first used with no name against Gaara when Naruto fought him during the
Konoha invasion. Its name was later given in the Second Databook.

Morning Peacock

* Name: Morning Peacock (朝孔雀, Asa Kujaku)
* Type: Kinjutsu, A-rank, Offensive, Short range (0-5m)[18]

This
jutsu uses six of the Eight Gates to give the user unmatched speed and
strength. After the gates are open, Guy will approach his opponent in a
somewhat distinctive stance and, once he gets close enough, kick them
into the air. He then hits his opponent over and over, causing a
peacock-like fan of flaming chakra to develop. Once Guy is finished,
his opponent will fall back to the ground, covered with the attacks'
aura.

Reverse Lotus

* Name: Reverse Lotus (裏蓮華, Ura Renge; English TV "Hidden Lotus")

This
jutsu is an advanced and more destructive version of the Front Lotus,
which requires that at least three chakra gates be opened (in every
instance in which it has been used, five gates are opened). Once enough
gates are open, the user launches the target into the air and strikes
them at inhuman speed before hitting them with one arm and one foot,
sending the target crashing into the ground. This is usually fatal due
to the speed and power behind the attack.

Because so many chakra
gates are opened at once, it can only be used once, since the user will
likely be unable to stand afterward. This is proven when Lee is left
barely able to stand after using it on Gaara, and the latter's powerful
defenses and long-distance attacks allowed him to win the match. Guy's
version involves him launching the enemy into the air, spinning like a
drill, and delivering a bone-shattering punch.

This
jutsu involves Akamaru urinating on a target, allowing both him and
Kiba Inuzuka to track it by scent. The two practice this in the forest,
and Akamaru is accurate enough to hit multiple targets in rapid
succession. This is a prerequisite for using Double Wolf Fang, since
the speed of the technique makes it impossible for the user to see
while using it. Akamaru's urine is apparently caustic, given Sakon's
comment that it burned when Akamaru urinated in his eyes.

Eight Trigrams Empty Palm

This
jutsu is similar in practice to Eight Trigrams Palms Heavenly Spin, but
has a specific target rather than a general area. To perform it, the
user does a palm thrust to violently push the opponent away.

Eight Trigrams Palms Great Heavenly Spin

* Name: Eight Trigrams Palms Heavenly Spin (八卦掌回天, Hakkeshō Kaiten; English TV "Eight Trigrams Palm Rotation")

This
jutsu utilizes the chakra control gained through Gentle Fist training
to release a huge amount of chakra from the user's chakra points right
before being struck. The released chakra blocks any possible attack on
the user. The user then spins rapidly to parry the attack, both
creating a shield of chakra around themselves and tossing away any
nearby attackers. This jutsu is only effective when rotating, since the
chakra itself is not enough to stop a physical attack. If they cannot
rotate, the user becomes vulnerable.

Eight Trigrams Sixty-Four Palms

* Name: Eight Trigrams Sixty-Four Palms (八卦六十四掌, Hakke Rokujūyon Shō;
English TV "Gentle Fist Style: Eight Trigrams Sixty-Four Palms")

This
jutsu closes off sixty-four specific chakra points on an opponent's
body with the Gentle Fist, effectively eliminating their ability to use
chakra for quite some time and making it difficult for them to move. It
begins with striking two chakra points, followed by four more, then
eight, then sixteen, then thirty-two, and then sixty-four strikes. Each
set of strikes is done at an exponentially increasing pace and
strength. The attack not only disables the enemy but also knocks them
back with every set of strikes. In the anime, a minor version of this
technique is Eight Trigrams Thirty-Two Palms and the doubled version of
this technique is Eight Trigrams One Hundred Twenty-Eight Palms.

* Name: Gentle Fist (柔拳, Jūken)

* Users: Hyuga clan

The
Gentle Fist style of combat is based on palm strikes and generally aims
to damage the body's Chakra Pathway System, thus creating difficulty by
inhibiting an opponent's use of chakra. To do this, the user will
forcefully insert a small amount of their own chakra into an opponent's
chakra pathway system. The chakra can the be used to rupture or divert
chakra flow, preventing them from using jutsu. It can also be used to
attack the opponent's internal organs, to which the chakra pathway
system is closely tied. Even the slightest tap from this style can
cause major damage, hence the name "gentle fist." Because the chakra
pathway system is invisible, the Byakugan is required for this style to
be used effectively. Since the Byakugan is unique to the Hyuga clan, it
has become their signature style of combat.

Strong Fist

Strong
Fist is Guy's and Lee's characteristic fighting style, the purpose of
which is to cause external damage and break bones. Additionally, they
have learned to open at least six of the eight chakra gates, allowing
them to briefly increase their physical limits in exchange for severe
physical damage after the effects have worn off. In fact, the eighth
gate is assured to cause death if opened, while the other seven merely
cause exponential degrees of physical damage.

Assimilated Rock Tank

* Name: Assimilated Rock Tank (Dōka Sanseki Sensha)

This
jutsu is a copied version of the Akimichi clan's Human Bullet Tank
jutsu, the only difference being that the user uses the Assimilate All
Creation Technique to fuse with a nearby rock and collect the necessary
mass to perform it, instead of creating it themselves. Additionally,
using rock powder makes it more damaging, since the resulting human
ball is made of a much stronger and heavier material.

* Name: Clone Spinning Heel Drop (分身回転かかと落とし, Kaiten Kakatō Otoshi; English TV "Clone Spinning Axe Kick")

After
creating several shadow clones, Naruto and his clones launch themselves
into the air and begin to somersault. They then come spinning down,
slamming their heels onto the target's shoulders and head.

This
jutsu is essentially a doubled version of Eight Trigrams Sixty-Four
Palms. Like the former, it closes off the opponent's tenketsu. However,
it closes off twice as many (128) at twice the speed. Alternatively, it
can be used to hit a great number of targets very quickly.

* Name: Interception Technique (遮断の技術, Kōsa Ho; English TV "Cross Block Jutsu")
* Type: Unknown rank, Defensive, Short range (0-5m)
* Users: Genshou Ryudoin

With
this jutsu, the user is able to intercept and counter an oncoming
taijutsu technique by raising the knee, and driving the elbow downwards
at the same time. This catches the attacking limb between his two
limbs, and drives the elbow down with great force, effectively
shattering the bone. Genshou used this technique to "break" Rock Lee's
Leaf Whirlwind by intercepting Lee's attacking leg. Even though Lee's
ankle was not broken due to protection from his ankle weight, he was
forced to completely halt his training until the injury was healed.

Sasuke
grabs a falling opponent by their ankles, wraps his legs around their
waist, and drives them head first into the ground, similar to the Front
Lotus. Sasuke used the technique twice in the anime without a name; its
name was established by various Naruto video games.

Name: Protection of the Eight Trigrams Sixty-Four Palms (守護八卦六十四掌,

Sixty-Four Palms")

Created
by Hinata, this jutsu allows her to emit a constant stream of chakra
from her palms, creating extremely sharp chakra blades. With her
natural flexibility, Hinata can reach any point around her, allowing
her to hit any target within her field of vision. While using this
jutsu, Hinata moves extremely fast (her movements become a blur),
allowing her to hit hundreds of targets with extreme precision, much
like the Eight Trigrams Sixty-Four Palms. Additionally, Hinata can
control the size of the chakra beams in her palms, allowing her to
create larger, arc-shaped chakra beams that spread out across her
entire attack range.

With this and her natural flexibility, the
technique creates an "absolute defense" effect similar to that of the
Eight Trigrams Palms Heavenly Spin, though the cutting nature of the
chakra prevents any outside force from restricting it. In this way, the
technique can be used as both an offensive and defensive maneuver. When
she uses the first form of the jutsu, the one with the straight chakra
blades, she can spin to increase the effectiveness to such a level that
she can deflect sand-sized particles, as shown in her fight with Jiga
in the Land of Vegetables arc.

Golden Thunder Power

Using
his size and helped by the Five Senses Confusion Disorder powder, Kongō
can strike his opponent powerfully and cause them serious physical

After
opening seven chakra gates, Lee punches the ground, creating an
earthquake that launches his opponent into the air. He then attacks his
foe many times at the speed of light, moving so fast that it seems as
if there are three Lees attacking at once. To finish, Lee punches the
enemy from the sky three times, slamming them back to the ground.

Gates

* Name: Eight Gates (八門, Hachimon; English TV "The Eight Inner Gates")

The
Eight Gates are eight specific points on a person's Chakra Pathway
System. They limit the overall flow of chakra within a person's body.
The basis for the idea of the chakra gates comes from the body's limits
on the functions within it. This makes the body much weaker, but it
keeps the body from expiring too soon. By opening these gates, the user
can surpass their own physical limits at the cost of extreme damage to
their own bodies.

Rock Lee is able to open the first five gates.
Guy, who taught Lee the skill, is able to open at least six. Kakashi
can open at least one gate, as shown during Kakashi's one-handed rock
climbing where a shot of his brain shows the relevant point activating,
as well as in his usage of the Front Lotus.

The state of having
all Eight Gates open is known as Eight Gates Released Formation
(八門遁甲の陣, Hachimon Tonko no Jin). Any shinobi who activates this state
will temporarily gain powers greater than a Kage, but they will die
because of the damage done to their body.

1. Gate of Opening (開門, Kaimon) located in the
brain. Releases the instinct restraints on the bodies muscle. Unlocking
the gate allows the user to use the Front Lotus.
2. Gate of Healing (休門, Kyūmon, English TV: "Gate of Rest") located in the brain, raises the user's stamina.
3. Gate of Life (生門, Seimon) located on the spinal cord. Releases the
limit on the nervous system allowing information to travel at a much
faster rate. A side effect is that the user's skin turns red. Allows
the user to use the Reverse Lotus.
4. Gate of Pain (傷門, Shōmon),
located on the spinal cord. Increases the user's speed and power. May
cause muscles tissue to tear on use.
5. Gate of Limit (杜門, Tomon, English TV: "Gate of Closing"), per above.
6. Gate of View (景門, Keimon, English TV: "Gate of Joy"), per above.
Allows the user to perform the Morning Peacock. Opening of this gate
releases such large amounts of chakra that it can cause nearby water
bodies to form a vortex around the user.
7. Gate of Wonder (驚門,
Kyōmon, English TV: "Gate of Shock"), per above. In the video games,
allows the user to perform the Eternal Chaotic Dance.
8. Gate of
Death (死門, Shimon) opens the final gate located at the heart and uses
up all of the body's energy. It makes the heart pump at maximum power
and exceeds the power of every other gate.
